The 2025 Honda CR-V is really a masterclass in how to make a great compact SUV.
KBB REVIEW: Space, quality, safety, efficiency… the CR-V excels in so many areas that it’s easy for us to recommend. This generation (the sixth) launched for 2023 and has won our Best Buy Award for its category ever since. The CR-V has been a big seller for Honda and a benchmark of the class for many years, deservedly so. Now it has evolved to the point where it can pretty much please all the people all the time.
The 2025 Honda CR-V Sport is a trim level of the CR-V that features a sporty design with black accents and 18-inch black alloy wheels. This model includes a 1.5L engine with a CVT transmission. Standard safety and technology features include a host of driver-assist systems, LED headlights, a 7-inch display meter, and smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Interior, Comfort, and Cargo:
The CR-V’s handsome interior design is highlighted by a honeycomb-textured insert spanning most of the dash, discreetly hiding the air vents. The steering wheel frames a partially digital gauge cluster with an analog speedometer and a 7.0-inch display that lets the driver switch between information menus. Honda says the front seats are designed to decrease driver fatigue on long trips and that the new CR-V’s driving position has been improved. Between the front-seat passengers is a large center console bin, and behind them are reclining back seats with plenty of rear legroom. There are 39 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row with the adjustable load floor in its lowest position.
Overview by CAR AND DRIVER:
Compact crossovers such as the 2025 Honda CR-V are in high demand, as they offer comfortable seating, fuel efficiency, and an easy-to-park profile. Honda’s cheerful entry into this competitive SUV segment earns its place at the top of our list because it also offers agile handling alongside its practicality. While the Mazda CX-50 offers more luxury and the Ford Bronco Sport is more capable off-road, the CR-V is a better all-arounder for its pleasant driving dynamics, solid build quality, and just-right balance of infotainment knobs and screens. For these reasons and more, we named the CR-V to our 10 BEST TRUCKS LIST as well as our 2025 EDITORS’ CHOICE LIST.
